Total organic carbon analyzer TOC HTY-CT1000M


In this paper, 680 ℃ catalytic combustion oxidation method was adopted. The sample and purified gas (high purity oxygen) were respectively introduced into high temperature combustion tube and low temperature reaction tube. The samples passed through high temperature combustion tube were oxidized by high temperature catalysis, and the organic carbon and inorganic carbon were converted into carbon dioxide. After acidification of the sample in low temperature reaction tube, the inorganic carbon was decomposed into carbon dioxide Carbon dioxide is transferred by carrier gas into NDIR, and CO2 is detected. The total carbon (TC) and inorganic carbon (IC) in water were measured. The difference between total carbon and inorganic carbon is total organic carbon (TOC). That is: TOC = tc-ic



Performance characteristics

1、For high TOC concentration, it is easy to oxidize organic samples at 680 ℃.


2. Higher safety, multiple protection is adopted for combustion furnace heating, independent of overheat protection circuit of temperature control system, overheat can automatically cut off heating to ensure product safety.

4. The instrument can automatically discharge waste, discharge and feed acid automatically, and the amount of acid input can be controlled stably.

6. The detection of CO2 with NDIR detector has good linearity and accuracy. The CO2 signal is converted into a peak area, and then the TOC value (the difference between TC and IC) is calculated by the built-in data processor.

Catalytic combustion oxidation method has strong oxidation ability and can oxidize almost all organic matters with stable performance. 680 ℃ combustion method is almost below the melting point of all salts, which can prolong the life of catalyst and combustion tube, which is very important especially when the determination object is salt water sample.
