Scientz-2c gene introduction instrument is composed of instrument host, gene introduction cup and special connecting wire. It is mainly used to transfer DNA into bacteria, animal and plant cells and yeast cells by electrotransformation. Compared with other methods, gene introduction instrument has the advantages of high repeatability, high efficiency, simple operation and quantitative control. At the same time, electroporation has no genotoxicity and has become an indispensable basic molecular biology technology.




working principle


Cell electroporation (electroporation), also known as cell electroporation (electroporation), is an important method to introduce foreign macromolecular substances such as DNA, RNA, siRNA, protein and some small molecules into cell membrane.


Under the action of a strong electric field, the cell membrane in the solution has a certain permeability, and the charged foreign substances enter the cell membrane in a similar way. Due to the high resistance of the membrane phospholipid bilayer, the cell membrane bears the voltage generated by the current field outside the cell. The voltage distributed in the cytoplasm can be ignored, and there is almost no current in the cytoplasm. Therefore, the cytotoxicity of the cell in the normal range is very small. After the electric field makes DNA and other substances enter the cell membrane, it can only stop near the cell membrane, and then the mechanism of the cell itself can allow these substances to enter the nucleus and other places.


Because electrokinetic technology relies on physical methods, the molecular characteristics of cell surface have little effect on electroversion. Compared with chemical transfection and viral vector transfection, electroporation can be used in all kinds of cells and is easy to be quantitatively controlled.
